Dr. Joo-Youp Lee’s current research focuses on (1) nanomedicine for gene and drug delivery and (2) heterogeneous catalysis and separation for energy and environmental applications. His research has been supported by the U.S. National Science Foundation, U.S. Department of Energy, U.S. EPA, state agencies, and private foundations. He has received a number of prestigious awards including the College of Engineering Research Award for Young Faculty, Outstanding ChE Research Professor Award, the College of Engineering Master Educator Awards, UC Technology Accelerator Award, and the NSF CAREER Award. He has been directing 10 graduate and more than 20 undergraduate students in these research areas.
